Students across Geneva CUSD 304 are participating in a variety of activities and tributes this week leading up to Veterans Day.
At Fabyan Elementary School, some of these activities include a “gratitude garden” of rocks painted by students from preschool through fifth grade, as well as a Chain Link Flag by each class, which will be hung in the front hallway. The student council is sponsoring a “Treats for Troops” candy drive and decorating posters throughout the school. Students can choose from a variety of books in the library honoring veterans, and staff will be creating a Memorial Wall honoring family and friends.
The school is grateful to its parents and the PTO for donating exterior decorations for the building, too!
