Sodexo is hosting its 2nd annual Future Chefs Competition and accepting entries from students in grades 1-5. The theme for this year is Favorite School Lunch Meals — Reimagined. This includes lunches that students eat at school — either homemade or made in the cafeteria.
Judging will be based on the following criteria:
- Originality
- Kid-Friendly
- Ease of Preparation
- Healthy Attributes
- Plate Presentation
- Taste
- Student Chef Presentation to Judges
HOW IT WORKS:
- Please help your child complete and submit the online Recipe Card no later than 4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, 2020.
- A distinguished panel of administrators will evaluate recipe submissions and narrow the number of finalists down to 2 students per Geneva 304 elementary school.
- Those finalists will be notified via email and/or phone by Tuesday, March 3, and formally invited to a Culinary Competition “Cook-Off” at Geneva High School at 8 a.m. Saturday, March 14.
- All finalists will receive a framed plaque and apron at the competition.
