Cheryl Denz, licensed clinical professional counselor at Riverside Counseling in St. Charles, will be providing a free parent presentation at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20 at Williamsburg Elementary School titled "Raising Successful Students: How Success in the Classroom Begins at Home."
This presentation will include interactive activities as well as time for Q & A. The topics that Cheryl will be covering will include “resiliency” and “grit.” Resiliency is defined as how well an individual can rebound from a setback, while grit is the ability to persevere and keep trying, even when the going gets tough.
