Dear Eagles,

It has been an amazing year and I must write about how special Mill Creek is as a building and school culture. The students walk in each day ready for an adventure. I hope we take the momentum and continue to move in the right direction. We have so much to be grateful for as we share a year filled with fun, lots of memories, and excitement. The students SOAR each day to new limits as the proud Eagles we hope to release one day and fly on their own. 

Our Creed is to treat others with respect, follow school and classroom rules, and try our best. It’s very difficult not to have fun at Mill Creek when everyone is trying their best and embracing each other's unique qualities. We have relied so much on each other to learn and grow. Parents working with teachers and vice versa to bring some fantastic assemblies and night time activities. From Run of the Mill races, to Spooktacular and classroom parties, the community comes together to enhance memories that our Eagles will cherish forever. 

This year's 5th graders have been exceptional in service, leadership, and displaying hard work. They started in the summer with two of our role models leading tours for new students to Mill Creek. On the first day of school a handful of students from each fifth grade classroom helped create a Welcome to Mill Creek video that was shared with the entire community. Always a hit, was the 5th grade outdoor education trip to Troy Wisconsin. One I’m most proud of, is the group of 12 that helped construct a brand new Gaga Pit for the playground purchased by the amazing PTO. 

As you can read it’s been a year of excitement, adventure and hard work. We will continue the Tradition of Excellence as we finish strong. As 5th graders are making a name for themselves, it will be time for the fourth graders to begin making their goals to make their mark!!! Mill Creek is about making growth and trying our best each day. It is a place where you can be friends with everyone and everyone has opportunities to start trying things they find interesting. Don’t be afraid to be yourself and always think of others as a partner in your journey.
