Who We Are
In the fall of 2009, Fabyan Elementary opened its doors, bringing students and staff together for the first time. Students from Western Avenue Elementary, Heartland Elementary, and Mill Creek Elementary; faculty members from throughout the district; and families joined together to begin new traditions for Fabyan. The year was filled with many “new” ideas and activities. Students and faculty voted on their school mascot and the Fabyan Falcons were formed! Parents, students, and faculty worked together on behavior expectations throughout the building that culminated into our pledge below:

Fabyan’s Expectations
I Pledge to follow Fabyan’s expectations.
I will think first to make good choices. I will be responsible in my actions. I will help create a safe environment. I will be respectful and nice to others. I will be a problem solver.
Together, we will make Fabyan a fun place.

A climate began and continues to formulate into a nurturing environment where curiosity is encouraged, new ideas are developed, and learning is a collaborative adventure. Our focus is to engage students into the problem solving process both in the academic and social emotional arena. Students learn best when they feel connected and confident, both areas that we take great pride in at Fabyan. Activities such as our Science Fair, school garden, tree museum, after school enrichment, chess club, and author visits are just a few ways that we enhance learning. With the active involvement from our parents, the support from our community, the energy from our enthusiastic students, and the engaging instruction from our Fabyan Faculty, we will continue the tradition of excellence in Geneva School District!
