Mr. Mays brought 20 years of experience in the financial services industry to his work as a new business teacher at Geneva High School. “I am most excited about the opportunity to work with Geneva High School students and to help our future entrepreneurs, business-minded people, and future leaders,” he said.
As a banker, branch manager and a financial advisor, Mr. Mays enjoyed working with younger clients to help them become financially savvy. “My passions center around helping our younger generation, which made me seek a role that I could do as a career which brought me to teaching,” he said.
In addition to teaching, he enjoys spending time with his wife of 20 years, his 16-year-old son, 13-year-old daughter, and their 5-year-old hound dog. “I have spent the last several years coaching baseball during the summers and enjoy traveling around to various ballparks when time allows,” he said.
