Geneva Staff, Students and Parents:

Illinois law (Pesticide Products Application and Notification Act) requires all school districts and day care centers to notify students and staff when pesticide chemicals are being used in or around the school facilities.  Please be aware that fertilizer and weed control of the lawns will take place at the following Geneva schools:  Geneva High School, Fabyan Elementary School, Mill Creek Elementary School, Keslinger Transportation Facility, Heartland Elementary School, Coultrap Educational Services Center and Williamsburg Elementary School on Monday, August 2nd, with a rain date of Tuesday, August 3rd or Wednesday, August 4th.  Fertilizer and weed control of the lawns will take place at Geneva Middle School North, Geneva Middle School South and Harrison Street Elementary School on Saturday, August 7th, with a rain date of Saturday, August 14th.  
Geneva is committed to minimizing the use of chemicals for weed control, lawn care & pesticide applications, but at times it is necessary for the proper maintenance of the facility.  If you have any questions about the application of the pesticide, please contact the Director of Facility Operations at (630) 463-3025.
