Greetings from Geneva 304!

It is an honor and privilege to begin my first year as the superintendent of this wonderful school community.  Here in Geneva 304 we have a caring and dedicated staff, creative and hardworking students, supportive and engaged parents, an active and vibrant community, and an all-around wonderful place for students to learn and grow.

Geneva 304 has a long-standing Tradition of Excellence, and while we are certainly proud of that tradition, we are also determined to innovate, improve, and keep moving forward! As a learning community we are committed to preparing our students to be self-directed, lifelong learners; effective communicators; complex, creative, and adaptive thinkers; and collaborative and productive citizens. We know our students will need these skills to be successful in our evolving and increasingly complicated world, and we are truly excited about the opportunities that lie ahead for our students, staff, and school community!

Our school district theme for the 2023-2024 school year is Believe In Geneva! As I transition into my new role as the superintendent of Geneva 304 I am committed to infusing positivity, optimism, an aspirational belief in ourselves and each other. As Simon Sinek notes, the most effective organizations and institutions are those in which people can work and achieve at their natural best, and our goal is to foster an environment in which everyone in our school community can thrive. I am so excited to work with you as we continue to Believe in Geneva and build this positive and innovative culture for our students and community!

Best,
Andrew J. Barrett, Ed.D.
