Conservation club with Mrs. Brady is coming up!  The first meeting is tomorrow after school in Mrs. Brady's room 261.  This is a great opportunity to meet new people as well as help the community and the earth! 

No need to sign up or get a permission slip. All are welcome!

 

Chess Club's first meeting is this Thursday in the North library after school until 4:20. Even if you've never played chess before, this is a great opportunity to learn while having fun!  See you Thursday at the back of the North- that's right, the GMS North- library.  All are welcome!


Published author, Michael Witwer, will be at South this month the week after the book fair! For details on getting a signed & personalized copy of his new book, pick up a form in the library! 


Student council will be meeting in the library book nook before school on Thursday at 8 or when you get here. Walk & Roll to School, Red Ribbon Door Decorating, Jivin Geneva, and more on the agenda! See you Thursday!


 

See You at the Pole, a global day of student prayer, is tomorrow. FCA and any staff or students who would like join, will gather around the North flagpole in the bus circle in the morning to pray for our schools and community. We will meet at 7:45am tomorrow, but if running late, don't hesitate to join us!


FCA Basketball will meet as scheduled in the North gym at 7:15am tomorrow. After scrimmaging, we will join the rest of FCA around the flagpole for student led prayer. No need to sign up, all are welcome!


This morning from the drama desk: the 6th grade play cast killed it last night in their first rehearsal off book. Maggie "The Beast" Biesk lit up the stage with her energetic line delivery and reactions. Ellyson "Dust-'em-up" Deniz swept away our expectations when she memorized all her lines AND delivered them with attitude. We are still looking for more stage crew members. If you are interested, you can attend rehearsal after school in the cafeteria today or Thursday until 4:20.

 

Please join Ms. Mack for a “Halloween Cook-tacular” on October 24th or 26th in the FACS room. Students will only sign up for one of the dates. You will be cooking fall themed foods like pumpkin bread and spider cookies! The cost is $10 and permission slips can be picked up in the main office.   

Mrs. Rolf’s lunch groups are cancelled this week.
