Every year since 2009, the Elementary School Library Media Specialists of CUSD304 have selected 20 titles for the Young Viking Award Nominee list.

 

This program is geared to Fourth and Fifth grade students to encourage reading a wide variety of literature at their reading and maturity level.

 

Students and teachers are encouraged to submit suggestions for inclusion in the list.

 

Students who read a minimum of 3 nominee books are eligible to vote in the late spring.

 

The title with the most votes across the District is considered the Young Viking Award Winner.
