  Dear Parents,

Hello and welcome to the new school year! My name is Wendy Miller. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education (2006) and a Master's Degree in Reading Instruction (2016) from Aurora University . For the eight years, I taught second grade at Prairie View Elementary in Sandwich, IL.  This is my sixth year teaching kindergarten at Western Avenue.  I have always loved learning and teaching, and I feel that it is a privilege to start little ones on their educational journey.

My husband Jon and I live in Yorkville with our three sons. Lucas is thirteen, Nolan is nine, and Matthew is six.  They keep us busy but also very proud. I look forward to meeting you and working with your child. I will do my best to make your child’s time in my classroom a fun-filled learning experience during which he or she will blossom socially and academically. I believe all children can learn and thrive with the right support and tools. I also believe that the more we work together the more your child will succeed. I anticipate a fantastic school year!

 Sincerely,

Wendy Miller
