Western Avenue PTO

Dear Western Avenue School families,

On behalf of the PTO, we would like to welcome back all returning Western families and extend a very warm greeting to those who are joining us for the first time.  We are looking forward to another exciting school year!   The PTO would also like to thank the wonderful WAS families and staff that generously give their energy and effort to make our school great.  We invite all of you to look at what the PTO has to offer and get involved if you can!

The PTO is a group of committed parent volunteers that sponsor a variety of school committees; some designed to raise money for enrichment programs, classroom needs, field trips, etc. and others designed to enhance your child’s learning experience. Both are essential in making Western Avenue School a very special place for our children to learn and grow.  The PTO generates income from our Fall Clothing Sale and Spring Duck, Duck Golf fundraisers creating many volunteer opportunities throughout the year.   Please see the attached Committee Summary to learn about the different volunteer opportunities for participation within the school. If you would like to join one of our many committees or help with school holiday parties, the Signup Genius Links can be accessed below.

The PTO meets bi-monthly on Tuesdays at 7pm in the LMC (Library).  The agenda will be published in the Western Weekly the week before and the meetings will be posted to this page following the meeting.  Meetings are the best way to learn what is new and have your voice heard.  Parents are encouraged to join!

2023-2024 meeting dates: 9.12, 11.14, 1.16, 3.12, and 5.14.

We hope you have a great school year!

Sincerely,

Western Avenue PTO Board
