The Shannon Shuffle raised $7203! Thank you to everyone who participated in the walk/5k run on May 12, 2017. Thank you all SO much for donating money towards the memorials, Outdoor Ed, and a high school scholarship plan. Thanks to you, this special event went above and beyond! We all believe that this special event will keep the memory of Mrs. Shannon in our hearts forever. Congrats, to all people who completed the 5k run and everyone else!

 

 

Western Avenue School is proud to announce this year’s 5th grade service project. We are hosting a community-wide 5K fun run/walk in honor of our beloved teacher, co-worker and friend, Mrs. Beth Shannon. Proceeds from this run will be used to create a memorial garden in our school’s courtyard, plant a tree garden, design a permanent mural in our building’s entryway, help defray the cost of Outdoor Education trip for students in need, and contribute to the Beth Shannon Memorial Scholarship through GEA.

Cost: Recommended donation to participate is $10 per individual or $25 per family.
