Reporting An Absence

When your child is absent, please report the absence in the ParentVUE app. You may also call the school attendance line before 8:00AM.  If your child is not in school and we have not heard from you, the school will call you or other emergency contacts to confirm the absence. The attendance line number is 630-463-3201.

This procedure is vital for the safety of our students. Heartland's Attendance Line number (voice mail) is available 24 hours a day so that you can call to report your child's absence before/after school hours.

Parents may request homework to be picked up after 2:15 p.m. in the main office, or it can be sent with a sibling/neighbor. Homework will be sent home after the student misses two consecutive days of missed school.
