Heartland Elementary School is a K-5 building comprised of approximately 300 students and 60 staff members in Geneva, IL. Its doors originally opened in 2002; we are home to the Heartland Hawks, and our school spirit colors are blue and white. We currently have three sections of kindergarten through fourth grades, and two sections of fifth grade. We support our district mission by educating and preparing students to be ready for the future in a diverse world by performing at a high level while intellectually engaged in valuable work. Our staff, parents and learning community hold high expectations for our students. We were honored to receive the 2024 National Blue-Ribbon School Award, and we couldn't be more proud of our efforts!

Heartland prides itself in its Hearts Full of Character program; we value character education and its importance in the development of children.  Each month we honor and celebrate these traits:

• October- Caring
• November- Respect
• December- Responsibility
• January- Honesty & Trust
• February- Cooperation & Fairness
• March-Leadership
• April & May- Pride

We also are extremely fortunate to have a fabulous PTO which partners with our school to provide endless opportunities for our students.  They provide social activities, learning opportunities and countless other events that engage our entire community.
