Contractors- ROE Background Check

If your contractor is going to be on a Geneva CUSD 304 site for less than 5 days, ROE background check is not necessary. Contact Chrissi Johnson ([email protected]) for further information.
  • Once approved by the Director of Facility Operations or his/her designee for the contractor to get background check at the Kane County ROE, contact Chrissi Johnson ([email protected]) to plan for check drop-off and form pick-up.
    1. Please include in your email Your Name, Name of Business, Name of who approved for ROE background, and Employee name(s) that need background checks.
  • A check for each contractor employee, in the amount of $50, is made out to Geneva CUSD #304, to cover the cost of the background check & processing. 
  1. The check, made out to Geneva CUSD 304, is submitted to Chrissi Johnson at our Central Office located at 227 N. 4th Street, Geneva, IL.   
  2. The endorsed ROE form is disbursed once payment has been received. 
  • Pre-schedule an appointment with the ROE via their website:
    1. Locate the Kane County ROE Website at www.kaneroe.org
    2. Open the “Our Services” menu
    3. Follow the directions on the screen
    4. You will then receive a confirmation e-mail from the Kane County ROE
    5. The fingerprinting process takes approximately 15 minutes.  
    6. Please bring a valid, non-expired photo ID to the appointment.
  • The Kane County Regional Office of Education (ROE), located at 28 N. 1st Street Geneva, IL, provides fingerprinting services for Geneva Community Unit School District (CUSD) #304.   
  • Kane County ROE will send the results to Geneva CUSD #304 within a week to 10 days business days & your company will be notified by Chrissi Johnson once the results are received.
  • If the background check is approved, the employee needs to contact Chrissi to schedule a time with Geneva CUSD 304 Human Resources to receive a contractor ID badge.
  • In the event the employee does not pass the background check, your company will be notified by Geneva CUSD #304.
