On Saturday, the Geneva Middle School Chess Team won second place in a chess tournament at Benjamin School in West Chicago. Congratulations to the chess team for crushing it in their first ever tournament! 

 

 

Auditions for the 7th & 8th grade musical, Annie Jr., will take place Tuesday January 7th and Thursday January 9th after break. You only need to attend one day of auditions. Sign up in the main office and pick up an audition packet. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Tyranski in 7B!

 

Don’t forget the next Scholastic Bowl practice is today after school until 4:20. It will be held in Mr. Friend’s classroom 124. Sign up will be on 8to18 like all other sports.

 

Attention Gamers - the next gaming club meeting will be a big one!  The club will be meeting for 2 HOURS tomorrow  from 3:30-5:20 and we will be taking over the library for our pre-winter break gaming extravaganza.  Make sure you coordinate a ride or plan to take the Activity Bus.

 

Did you know broken holiday lights can't be recycled in your recycling bin? If you have any broken strands, please bring them to school before Wednesday December 18th. The Conservation Club is collecting them to get them correctly recycled and keep them out of landfills. Look for the bins in your team center.

 

Don't miss the holiday themed Science Club meeting tomorrow. We will be meeting at South in room 174 until 4:20. See you there!

 

 

It's that time again! Dungeons and Dragons will meet after school in Ms. Riley's room on Wednesday, December 18th until 4:25 pm. Please note this is a day change from Monday to Wednesday for the rest of the school year.

 

 

Social Studies Club will host our annual holiday party today.  Come make some 3D globe ornaments, play holiday trivia, and eat candy canes.  Meet in Mr. Fader's room on Monday until 4:20pm.

 

Calling all dancers! Tryouts for the Dance Team will take place on January 13th and 14th in the fitness room at Geneva Middle School North. 6th, 7th, and 8th graders can try out if they register through 8 to 18 and have an updated physical.  If you have any questions, please reach out to Ms. Mattson.

 

Helpers needed at our Conservation Club meeting on Wednesday December 18th after school. We will meet in Mrs. Bruno's room 121 at North to load up all of the broken holiday lights we have collected at both middle schools and have some holiday fun!

 

The next FCA meeting will be held this Friday morning at 7:45. Join us for faith, fellowship and donuts.
