Attention 7th and 8th graders:  Do you play piano, guitar, or bass and have an interest in playing jazz music?  Consider joining the GMS South Jazz Band.  Simply stop by the band room on your way to lunch anytime in the next week and let Mr. Flaks know that you are interested to get more information.

Are you the next J.K. Rowling, Roald Dahl, or C.S. Lewis?  Are you looking for opportunities to enter contests and possibly get your work published? Exciting news!  Two new intramurals are starting tomorrow! There will be a Soccer intramural and a Flag Football intramural beginning tomorrow, Tuesday September 10th on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Both of these intramurals are combined with North, so it’s a great opportunity to meet some new friends. The cost for each one of these is $25 and permission slips are available in the main office.

Just a reminder that if you place a book on hold in the library, you will get an email when it’s ready to be picked up. You can then find it on the holds shelf. If you do not come and get it after three reminders, it will be returned.  Let us know if you have any questions!

This Friday morning starting at 7:45 is the first FCA, Fellowship for Christian Adolescents meeting.  FCA is a combined club for both North and South students.  We will be meeting this Friday from 7:45-8:20 at North in the Community Room.  Please join us for faith, fun, fellowship, and donuts.  All are welcome.  We can't wait to see you!
