Next week is Red Ribbon Week which means it’s time for the GMSS Annual Food Drive to benefit our local food pantry.  This time of year, there are many families in need, and they count on our donations, so they don’t go hungry for the holidays.  This weekend would be a perfect time to go shopping and buy some items that are listed on the posters around school. To make this even more fun, the team that brings in the most items will win delicious donuts for the entire team.  Who’s going to win the Food Drive trophy and donuts this year??? Can we beat last year’s total of 4, 933? YES WE CAN!

 

Also, next week for Red Ribbon Week we’re going to have a Spirit Week!  On Monday, wear red to start the week off!

 

Come see the sixth grade play Alice @ Wonderland this weekend. The shows are on Friday night at 7 and Saturday afternoon at 3. Tickets are free for students and teachers. The cast and crew have worked so hard and would love to see familiar faces in the audience.

 

Chess Club will meet today after school in the GMS North library until 4:20. Even if you haven't attended a chess club meeting yet, come check it out!  See you in the North library after school on Thursday.  

 

Auditions for the Variety Show begin next week.  If you are willing to share your talent or just love the stage, then this show is for you.  Looking for acts and MC's.  Sign up in the Main Office or in the library next to the copy machines.

 

Leo's club will meet on Monday, October 21 from 3:25 to 4:25 in Ms. Beyer's room 223. we will be focusing on red ribbon week food drive. 

 

The next meeting of the Dungeons and Dragons club will be on Monday, October 21st. We will meet in Ms. Riley's room 263 at GMSS after school until 4:25 pm. Please reach out to Ms. Riley with any questions!

 

Are you ready to dominate the dodgeball court? Join us after school today at GMSS in the middle gym for an intense dodgeball tournament sponsored by the middle school wrestling team!  Meet fellow wrestlers and get to know the coaches. This is open to all 6th – 8th grade students. Don’t miss out on the action and see you there!

 

FCA will meet tomorrow morning at GMS North at 7:45am. Please join us for faith, fellowship, and donuts. 

 

Tired of being AFK? Gaming Club returns this coming Tuesday from 3:30-4:20. Come hang out and level up with your classmates and friends.

The 7th grade A volleyball team dominated Geneva Middle School North in the conference semifinals last night. Every girl showed up to play, and their skills were straight fire! They will play the championship game against Wredling tonight at 4:30 tonight. 

 

Your 7th grade B volleyball team ended their season Tuesday night with a back-and-forth battle against North. The Vikings took it to three games and even into extra points, playing their best game of the season! Every player had a shining moment and should be proud of their performance! 

 

Yesterday, your 8th grade Vikings volleyball team slayed the day as they took down Thompson in two sets. Ellie and Ryen 'Double Stach' were on attack all over the court. #BirthdayQueens! Lilly 'Lightning' Jones was lights out from the service line, making the Thunder quake in their boots. Join us at Thompson today at 4:30 pm as we play for a championship against Wredling! Go Vi-Queens!
