Do you enjoy helping others? The Geneva Middle School LEOS Club is a school service club that does just that. Leos Club members will have the opportunity to develop valuable leadership skills, make new friends and have fun by getting involved in a wide variety of community service projects. Stop by the office for an informational flyer or see Ms. Beyer in 7White for more information.

The next community service project is scheduled for October 19th at the Northern Illinois Food Bank here in Geneva. Volunteers will be packing a variety of food that will help feed more than 71,500 hungry neighbors each week. Packing time is scheduled from 5:00 until 7:00 pm. Bus transportation will be provided to and from the event. Pick up a permission slip in the office or see Ms. Beyer for more information. Space is limited so please, register early. Parents are also invited to attend.

 

How would you like to go on a modern day treasure hunt? Make a fortune in the stock market?  Or climb a real World War II tank?  You can do all of this in Social Studies Club!  The first meeting will take place this Tuesday, October 3rd in Mr. Fader's room 110 in the 8 White team center.

 

From the Sports Desk:

 

The 7th grade B volleyball team defeated Batavia Red last night in 3 sets. The scores were 21-25, 26-24 and 25-21. Strong serving was provided by Ella Madden, Mia Klein and Laney Salerno. 

 

The boys cross country team emerged victorious last night over Yorkville and Geneva North.  South had the first 4 runners to cross the finish line and 5 of the top 6 in the race.  The team will finish the season in less than a week with a meet on Saturday and Conference on Tuesday.
