Cubs Cardinals... Bears Packers.... Vikings Bulldogs ... On Rivalry night the 8th grade football team headed over to the dog pound on Thursday to play their arch-rivals the Batavia Bulldogs. After a defensive stop on an interception by Chase Terwiliger, the Vikings capitalized when Alex Porter connected on a 64 yard touchdown pass to Sammy Perez. Kyle Anderson ran in for the two point conversion to go up 8-0. The Bulldogs scored a touchdown just before the half but the Viking defense kept them from converting the extra points. The Bulldogs controlled the ball for much of the second half and it looked like Batavia was about to take the lead with 3 minutes left in the game. That is until Nicky O'Keefe made an outstanding play on the ball and intercepted the Batavia quarterback at the 3 yard line. After bleeding the clock and a 46 yard punt by Sammy Perez the Vikings defense held and Ryan Huskey took a knee to seal the victory!
