GTV Students Win Competition, Represent U.S. at Russian Film Festival

GTV Students Going to Russia Being Recognized at STN Competition

A team of four Geneva Community High School students traveled to Russia to participate in the US-Russia Youth TV Bridge, an international platform for increasing cooperation between US and Russian youth through collaborative video production. At the end of April, Geneva Television (GTV) students Katelyn Keenehan, Payton Dahlin, Jacob Miller and Izzy Schamberger traveled to Moscow to collaborate with Russian high school students to record, edit, produce, and host broadcast-style video programming. The team then traveled to Cheboksary, Russia where they represented the United States at the Volga Encounters Film Festival. The students hosted panel discussions to talk about GTV and how they learn their techniques.

The GHS team was selected for this opportunity by winning a competitive video production contest hosted by the Student Television Network (STN).
