Good news 7th and 8th graders, we have a few spots still open for our escape room activity on March 16th.  If you are still interested in signing up for this event you can come to the office with your $5 this week.  Find some friend to join you or come alone and join a group.  This will be a really fun activity that will happen right before our 7th and 8th grade dance.

What’s your favorite vacation topper?  Wear a fun vacation hat tomorrow (baseball cap, fishing hat, sun visor, etc.) and ‘Top’ off your day with some lunchtime board games with your friends in the library. Earn raffle tickets for the prize drawing during the student-faculty basketball game.

Clean off your bookshelves and pick-up some new books to enjoy at our GMS South Book Swap on Friday, March 9th.  Bring in your books by Thursday 3/8.  See Mrs. Mourek or Mrs. Hollis for more information.

This Friday March 9, after school, will be the faculty/student basketball game.   8th grade students who are interested in playing must have a current physical on file and should see Mrs. Benhart in 8W for a permission slip.

Sports Desk:

Attention all 7th and 8th grade boys and girls track runners. The first track practice will be held on Monday, March 12th. Please meet in the main gym after school and make sure you have a current sports physical on file.

The 7th grade girls’ A team had a tall task against #3 seed Thompson last night and didn't back down. They battled to the final whistle, but unfortunately couldn't squeak out the W. Congratulations on a great season to Peyton Smith, Ella Madden, Lauren Slagle, Erin Slagle, Hailey Puklin, Abby McMillen, Hannah McMillen, Hanna Van Camp, Morgan Curran, Breyana Adams, and Jacquelyn Weppner. Keep poppin’ those threes in the off-season.

The 7th Grade girls’ B team finished their season last night after losing to North, the #2 seed. The girls played tough defense throughout the game and forced North into many turnovers. It was truly an excellent team effort throughout the game. Coach Knapp would like to thank the girls for an awesome season!

The 8th grade girls’ basketball team almost upset the #1 seed last night in the tournament. It ended up being a 4 point game. Great effort and season by all the girls.
