Students, if you have still been collecting box tops, be sure to bring them in by May 25th to qualify for the drawing. If you collect 25 or more box tops, you’ll be entered into a drawing for a $25 Goodrich Randall 15 movie gift card. If you bring in at least one box top, you’ll be entered into a drawing for a $5 Goodrich Randall 15 movie gift card. Remember, Soup labels and expired box tops don’t count.

Have you read at least one Rebecca Caudill nominated book featured in the library? If you have, the Book Battle needs you! On Tuesday May 15th, South will battle North in a trivia contest and the winning team gets the coveted Book Battle trophy! South won the trophy last year so, let’s keep the trophy where it belongs! Pick up a permission slip and get more details from your Language arts teacher or Mrs. Mourek in the library. 

If you missed yesterday’s Origami intramural, you can still sign up for the next one on Tuesday, May 15th.  Pick up a permission slip in the office, so you don’t miss out!! 

Join the GHS Twirlers! Become a part of our team, and perform at all GHS home football games and parades. No experience necessary! Come to the Clinic and Tryouts this Thursday May 10th in the West Gym here at South from 3:30 – 4:25. Batons will be provided for clinic and students will be taught how to twirl. This is a great opportunity to become a part of a high school sport, and experience the excitement of Friday night football games as a freshman! Pick up a flyer with all the information in the office.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the collaborative art show with Geneva High School last night. Congratulations goes out to our Best in Show winners. The 6th grade winner is Nora Mejia, 7th grade winner is Brendan Coller and our 8th grade winner is John Potosnak.

 

Music Students: Friday is a Choir day.

Geneva Middle School North and South will be participating in the 13th Annual Bridge Walk to benefit the Living Well Cancer Center in Geneva. Please consider joining the team on Saturday, May 19th at Fabyan Forest Preserve for a 5K walk along the Fox River. With your support, we can make a difference in the lives of those fighting cancer, right here in our own community. If you would like to join our school team, please pick-up a permission slip in the office.
