There is a new intramural at South – Origami! For those of you who are not familiar, Origami is the Japanese art of folding paper into decorative shapes and figures. There are two sessions to choose from and it’s free! Pick up a permission slip in the office before they fill up.
Join the GHS Twirlers! Become a part of our team, and perform at all
GHS home football games and parades. No
experience necessary! Come to the Clinic
and Tryouts on Thursday May 10th in the West Gym here at South from 3:30 – 4:25. We will provide batons for clinic and teach students how to twirl. We will review all information about being a part of the team and provide handouts. This is a great opportunity to become a part of a high school sport, and enjoy the excitement and experience of Friday night football games as a Freshman! Pick up a flyer with all the information in the office.
Geneva Middle School North and
South will be participating in the 13th Annual Bridge Walk to
benefit the Living Well Cancer Center in Geneva. Please consider joining the team on Saturday,
May 19th at Fabyan Forest Preserve for a 5K walk along the Fox
River. With your support, we can make a
difference in the lives of those fighting cancer, right here in our own
community. If you would like to join our
school team, please pick-up a permission slip in the office.

On Tuesday May 15th, South will battle North in a trivia contest and the winning team gets the coveted Book Battle trophy! South won the trophy last year so, let’s keep the trophy where it belongs! Pick up a permission slip and get more details from your Language arts teacher or Mrs. Mourek in the library.
