The final yearbook meeting of the year
will be held on Monday, May 21 immediately after school in Room 113 in the 8W
team center. This meeting will run until approximately 5:20. Pizza will be
provided. Any student who has contributed to the production of the yearbook
this year should attend.
Geneva
Middle School North and South will be participating in the 13th
Annual Bridge Walk to benefit the Living Well Cancer Center in Geneva. Please consider joining the team this Saturday,
May 19th at Fabyan Forest Preserve for a 5K walk along the Fox
River. With your support, we can make a
difference in the lives of those fighting cancer, right here in our own
community. If you would like to join our
school team, please pick-up a permission slip in the office.
6th
and 7th grade girls, there is going to be an informational meeting
about next year’s volleyball teams on Wednesday, May 23 at 8:15 am in the
Contest Gym.
This week is fine forgiveness week in the Library. Please
turn in all your books and if you have fines they will be forgiven IF you make
a card for a resident at Arden Courts or Greenfields Memory Care Facility. Are
you wondering if you have a fine just check your email! See Mrs. Mourek
for details and questions.
Students, if you have still been collecting
box tops, be sure to bring them in by May 25th to qualify for the drawing. If
you collect 25 or more box tops, you’ll be entered into a drawing for a $25
Goodrich Randall 15 movie gift card. If you bring in at least one box top,
you’ll be entered into a drawing for a $5 Goodrich Randall 15 movie gift
card. Remember, Soup labels and expired
box tops don’t count.

Club: Your last meeting is next week, Thursday the 24th with pizza and

Last Friday night, the
Viking boys track team wrapped up its season at the annual Wohlhuter
invitational meet at St. Charles East High School. The 4x800 meter relay team
of Adam Drexler, Mitchell Gratz, Colin Opdyke and Colin Hasty started the meet
off strong for the Vikings and 8th graders Tyler Tuisl and Carter Powelson took
first and second place in the triple jump. Finally, the 4x400 team of Dan
Sustersic, Tyler Tuisl, Mitchell Gratz and John Klis braved the frigid
temperatures to close the meet and bring a strong end to a successful season.
