Leo’s Club members don’t miss out on your last meeting of the year afterschool today!

 

Stop by Science Club’s last meeting of the year after school till 4:20 at South in Mrs. Bruno's room 221. Its gonna a blast!

 

Creative Writing Club will hold its end-of-the-year celebration on Thursday, May 19th at Geneva Middle School South in Ms. Riley's room!

 

Viking Gamer Club will have its final meeting of the year this Friday from 3:20-5:20. All 6th, 7th, and 8th grade club members will be meeting in the library for one final gaming extravaganza!

 

Art club members, please remember that our Art show is tomorrow, Wednesday 5/18,  at Geneva High school. The art show is in the Geneva Commons and goes from 5-6:30. See you there!

 

Attention Girls Volleyball Players: Are you going into 7th or 8th grade next year and thinking you'd like to try volleyball? Come to an informational meeting before school on Tuesday, May 24th at 8:15 am in the contest gym. Any questions, see Miss Burns, Miss Mack, or Miss Shanel.

 

The 4 vs 4 coed volleyball tournament registration slips are due today! If you have them in your backpack, please be sure to bring them to the main office!

 

Last Friday night, under the lights of Burgess Field, the Geneva South track team brought its season to a close in the conference finals. On the way to a third-place finish, the Viking boys broke several long-standing school records, including Mason Halbach in the triple jump, and the team of Konkey, Halbach, Harrison Tincher and Fynn Caston in both the 4x100 meter relay, and the 4x200 meter relay--a record that had previously stood for 36 years. The boy’s junior varsity team placed 5th. The girl’s junior varsity team took second place overall, the varsity girls placed 4th overall, and Lola Garcia placed first in the triple jump. Olivia Pohlman took 2nd in the triple jump and Alyssa Flotte set a personal best in the 200-meter dash. Congratulations to all track athletes on a great season!
