 Do you have dried up markers, pens or used up glue sticks?  Don’t throw them away! The Conservation Club has provided us with small blue or green recycling bins in all the team centers that we can put all those used up markers, pens and glue sticks in. Thanks Conservation Club!

There’s going to be a new intramural in town!  It's Dungeons and Dragons!  The first meeting will be Monday, October 17th in Ms. Riley's room after school from 3:30-4:20pm.  Experienced and new players are welcome to join! 

 

This Week’s Club Meetings

FCA's See You at the Pole event is this coming Wednesday, September 28th. This is a student led event where youth all over the world gather at their school's flagpole to pray for their community, teachers, friends, and families. Any student or staff member is welcome to join us at the North flagpole (in the bus circle) this Wednesday at 7:45am.

Math club starts this Thursday after school at North in Mrs. Gain's room - room 122 until 4:20. Join us for a fun game of math basketball. Can you score a 10-pointer? Come and see if you can!


 

From the Sports Desk:

The 7th-grade girls' volleyball team secured a double "W" against Aurora-Jewel Friday. Avery squared - Avery Edison and Avery Hauth- played amazing back-row defense with Teagan Lee supporting them in the front. Lena Sartell shocked the Jaguars with a 7-point serving run ensuring 7A's win. 7B followed with a decisive victory in 2 games! Bea Millard and Isla Grassel ran up the score with some vicious serves! Ella Tyberg protected the net with great blocks at middle! Sophia Jones finished the Jaguars with an excited serving run.  Awesome job girls!

On Saturday, the Geneva South Cross-Country Team ran as a team with lots of personal bests. The Varsity Girls led things off in terrific fashion.  Riley Dunnett, Elena Mamminga, Mira Meyers, Lyla Clemons and Haddie Wilkison all posted impressive top 25 finishes.  For the JV squad Elena Hamilton ran a terrific time, earning her a medal and a top 5 finish.  Sophie Held, Mia Pettruci Charlotte Otto and Natalie Raby led the rest of the team and posted great races in the JV race, too.  In the open race, Julia Jordan ran awesome and was the top finisher for the Vikings, Ella Carr, Ashely Stinger and Kate Bellino all finished with personal bests! The girls finished 3rd place in all 3 races!! The boys kept the momentum going in the varsity race as Parsa Manafi, Griffin Poterek, and Andrew Lee all posted top 15 medals.  In the JV race, Gabe Oshsenschlager, Declan Hallahan, and Conner McInernay led the Vikings. Then in the open race, Nathan Walkington, Charlie Evans, Camden Bruesch and Lukas Lata were tightly packed to lead the troops with Nolan Wauters, Ben Levin and Griffin Bobecko all having huge time drops!  The boys team placed third overall in Varsity and Junior Varsity and 2nd in the Open Race!!
