Congratulations to the 6th grade girls and boys' cross country team who both placed 1st out of 15 teams at the Marmion Invitational on Tuesday.  Riley Dunnett took first place in the 6th grade race beating the second-place runner by 33 seconds!  Lyla Clemmons, Haddie Wilkinson, Elena Hamilton, and Sophie Held rounded out the top 15.  Maddux Carson took 2nd place overall in the 6th grade boys race with Tyler Larson, Eliot Beran, Lukas Lata, and Brendan King not far behind.  Parsa Manafi took 6th and Griffin Poterek took 9th in the 7th/8th grade boys race. It was a great day to run!

Attn 6th graders:  There are still parts available in the 6th grade play!  There will be a 6th grade play meeting today after school in the music room until 4:25 pm for all current cast members and any other 6th grade student who would like to be on stage!

Next week is Spirit Week at Geneva South!  Monday is Comfy Day.  Wear your favorite pajamas or comfortable sweats.  Tuesday is Senior Citizen Appreciation Day.  Dress like your favorite elderly person.  Wednesday is Hawaiian Day.  Wear your tropical/Hawaiian gear.  Thursday is Twin Day.  Dress like your friend or classmate.  And Friday is South Spirit Day – 8th graders wear black, 7th graders wear blue, and 6th graders wear white.  Start planning today! 

Permission slips are available for Viking Gamer Club in the main office.  Sign-up forms should be returned to the main office or Mr. Rhea tomorrow.

Permission slips area also available in the main office for Conservation Intramurals which begins on Wednesday, September 21st.      

This Week’s Club Meetings

Art Club meets today after school until 4:20 in Ms. Marks' Art Room- 269. Be sure to arrange your transportation home at 4:20 or take the activity bus! See you this afternoon! 

Remember, all students are always welcome at all club meetings!
