Last night, the Geneva Middle School varsity football team put its undefeated record on the line at home against Aurora Jewel, and the Vikings continued to dominate on both sides of the ball. Offensively, Tate Beran contributed two rushing touchdowns, and Nelson Wendell and Noah Hallahan added scores of their own as the Vikings charged out to a 29-0 halftime lead. The defense, led by Bennett McMillen, held Jewel scoreless for the Vikings' third straight shutout. Late in the second half, quarterback Ben Peterson connected with Sam Cervenka, setting up a 30 yard Bennett Konkey field goal to cap the 32-0 victory.

The 8th grade volleyball Vikings were at home yesterday against the Wredling Redhawks and suffered a tough defeat. Though Lauren Stachowicz made all her serves and protected in the back row, they weren't able to manage a Viking victory. Sadie Ludwig stunned the crowd with a killer hit! In the B game, Maggie Currie blocked at the net with some amazing saves. Emmy Kelly had great movement on the court and awesome sets! The Vikings will be playing in The Midwest Classic this weekend and hope to bring home a victory! Go Vikings!

Last night, the girl's cross country team came out firing and beat Thompson to improve their dual meet record to 4-0!  They were led by Riley Dunnett who won the race by 44 seconds!  Elena Mamminga, Lyla Clemmons, Mira Meyers, and Haddie Wilkison were tightly packed to help the team beat Thompson soundly. The boys also beat Thompson, Parsa Manafi won the boys' race.  Matthew Bultmann, Eliot Beran, Hunter Clemons and Jokubas Samajauskas all had huge time drops!  Way to go South.
