From the Sports Desk:

Last night, the Geneva Middle School varsity football team battled the Yorkville Middle School Foxes in the final game of the regular season. Offensively, human highlight reel Tate Beran ran for two long touchdowns and caught a third from quarterback Ben Peterson. Peterson would add a second touchdown to Bennett Konkey late in the game. The defense was led by linebacker Nelson Wendell, who intercepted two Yorkville passes, running one back for a touchdown. Strong interior line play by Dan Phan and Justin Katz frustrated the Foxes, as the Vikings cruised to a 36-12 victory, pushing their regular season record to a perfect 7-0.  Next up for Viking football: JV on the road versus Sycamore on Thursday.
