Auditions for this year's Variety Show will be taking place next week.  If you are talented and just feel the need to be on stage, then sign right up!  You can sign up in the Main Office, in 7 White with Mr. Japlon, and 6th graders can sign up during lunch today and tomorrow. See Mr. Japlon with any questions.

Viking Gamer Club will have its first meeting next Tuesday, October 25th in a new location - upstairs in Mr. Rhea's Room 254.  Gamers - please bring your school laptops with you for the first meeting. 

FCA will be meeting tomorrow morning at 7:45 right here at South.  Please join us for faith, fellowship and donuts.  All are welcome!

The annual GMSS Food Drive collection and team competition starts MONDAY during Red Ribbon Week. The team that collects the most needed items through Friday, October 28 will win bragging rights and the first ever Food Drive Trophy. Of course, we will all win by being good neighbors and giving back to our communities. 

Congratulations to all the Music Department students who auditioned for the Illinois Music Educators Association District 9 Music Festival!  Students have been preparing audition music for several weeks and competed with students from across the western suburban region to secure a place in one of the district honor ensembles.  The entire music department faculty are extremely proud of all the students who went through the audition process and are proud of your commitment to excellence in music performance.
