Do you have a lot of extra Halloween candy in your house? This week, social studies teachers are collecting leftover Halloween candy for Support over Stigma, which provides PTSD help for active-duty military, veterans, first responders and their families. Would you be willing to donate your extra Halloween candy to such a great cause? There will be a collection box in the Social Studies rooms.
Do you have dried up markers, pens or used up glue sticks? Don’t throw them away! The Conservation Club has provided us with small blue or green recycling bins in all the team centers that we can put all those used up markers, pens and glue sticks in. Thanks Conservation Club!

On Tuesday, in Vikings wrestling, the Thompson Thunder came to town to face off in a monster matchup. For varsity, Joey Swanson led off with a pin in his and the team’s very first match. David “The Rock” Savenok crushed his opponent, while George Driesbach and Miguel Serrato won theirs. “Danimal the Animal” Phan brought the pain in his match, while Quinn “Win by Pin” Hogan was decisive in his. Last, Tennyson Welgae-Stein was as the 6th graders say “as scary in that match as he looks outside of one”.
In junior varsity Joey “Takedown” Torrence gave the Vikings a quick win, while Ryker “The Striker” Petersen was just as fast. Vincent Skibicki went the distance in his win, and Luca Bruno sealed his opponent’s fate with a pin. Finally, Evan Dziadus won his match with the kind of rush that could have only been Halloween candy powered.
