From the Sports Desk:

On Monday, your Viking wrestlers went to Batavia’s Rotolo Middle School to face the “Battlin’ Bulldogs”. It was your Vikings that kept Batavia on a leash this time, as both the varsity and JV teams came out with collective wins. Eli Brazelton and Joey “Takedown” Torrence were just a couple of the many pins that kept Batavia in the doghouse. On Thursday, your wrestlers go to Saint Charles to face Wredling.

Geneva South had a big run to Jewel on Monday night.  For the A team, Jackson Snider was serving up a couple of "3 burgers" while Mason Bruesch and Tate Beran were like "butter" because they were on a "roll" to the basket.  The B squad opted for the self-checkout line in the second half.  Ellis Dziadus "dished" up some tasty steal and drives to the hoop, and Ryder Krempin was a beast not behind the deli line, but on the boards.

Both teams moved to 2-0 on the season.
