From the Sports Desk:

It's been an active week for the GMS South track team. Last Thursday, The Thompson Thunder rolled into town, but the Vikings easily weathered the storm.  Hannah Cosky took 3rd in the 800 meters, Mira Meyers finished 2nd in the 1600 meters, Jameson McDonald took first place in the discus, and the boys 4x100 meter relay team of Bennett Konkey, Peyton Wozniak, Mason Breusch and Cole Hecker ran away from the competition on the way to a new school record and a dual meet victory.

Five days later, the Vikings went on the road to Rotolo Middle School to face the Bulldogs and the Jayhawks of Jefferson Middle School. Although many Vikings turned in personal bests, the team fell just short and suffered its first loss of the season. High points for the Vikings were victories by Teagan Lee in the long jump, Harper Kobbeman in the 400,  Matt Martija in the high jump and the 4x400 relay team of Cam Schmidt, Brady Kling, Noah Rosser and Parsa Manafi. Alexis Guess also turned in a strong 2nd place finish in the 800 meters.
