A Message from Geneva 304 Superintendent
March 20, 2020

Greetings Geneva 304 community,  Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker announced today that school districts across the state will remain closed through Tuesday, April 7. During this period of closure, Geneva 304 will still observe our scheduled Spring Break from March 30-April 3.

There are still many unanswered questions that will be addressed in the coming days and weeks ahead, and we thank you again for your continued patience, flexibility and partnership. Due to this new order, there are a few updates we would like to provide:

Beginning tomorrow at 5 p.m., we will be closing all buildings to our parents, students, and community members until Tuesday, April 7.

We will extend our Grab and Go meal service for qualifying students through Tuesday, April 7. Qualifying families can continue to pick up meals from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. each weekday at the front entrance of Harrison Street Elementary School and Williamsburg Elementary School. Families will receive additional information directly from the Geneva 304 business office regarding this service. If you have questions in the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact our business office at 630-463-3030 or via email at [email protected].

As we have seen across the country, school closures may need to be extended beyond April 7, and we will continue to look to the state for guidance on this matter. Because this situation continues to rapidly evolve, we encourage you to continue to check these two pages on the Geneva 304 website, which our staff is dedicated to updating regularly:
You also will continue to receive updates from the district as needed.

The threat this virus poses to our community is serious. I would continue to encourage you to follow the guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention related to social distancing and other protective measures. We all have a collective responsibility to take care of ourselves and each other. I am confident based on what I have witnessed in our response so far that we will be able to do what is necessary during this challenging time.

Thank you for partnering with us and for all the grace and patience you’ve provided as we work to support you and our students.

Dr. Kent Mutchler
Superintendent
