From the Sports Desk:

The 8th grade boys’ basketball team hosted Jewel last night. The Vikings jumped out to early leads and never looked back.  Both teams now stand at 2 and 0.

Both the A and B 7th grade basketball teams defeated Aurora Jewel last night with the A team winning 63-26 and the B team 56-19.  Both teams will be at home on Monday against St. Charles Wredling.

And in wrestling, Rotolo Bulldogs came into town yesterday. Batavia had ideas of winning easily against the Vikings, but they were barking up the wrong tree. Quinn "Win by Pin" Hogan and Alex "Rock Ya" Menchaca were stellar in their wins. In JV, Breck Vanderploeg and Joey Valenti were also dominant. Look for your Vikings to keep their momentum going at home this Thursday against Wredling.
