Mrs. Bradac would like to give a big congratulations to the following students on being recognized for their outstanding artwork by Mayor Burns last night at Art for All at the City Hall.

The varsity boy's volleyball team won an intense two set match last night against Aurora Jefferson, 25-21 and 25-19. The Vikings took a while to find their groove but settled in after while to cruise to the win. The team was led by some great swings by Lucas Tellschow and beautiful serve receive by Nathan Mathias. The boys look to extend their conference win streak to 8 games tomorrow versus South.
 
The JV boys volleyball dominated last night, winning in two sets against Aurora. Hayden Hobbs had a great game setting and serving the ball!
 
It was a night for the record books during the Vikings’ track meet against Thompson and Jewel. 
Charlotte Noll set a personal record during the 200m dash while her fellow 7th grader, Ava Falco set her own personal record during the 100m dash. 
Alvin Tang set his own personal record in the hurdles, while his teammates Colin Kunz and Jack Dempsey PR’ed in the 400. Dempsey would go on to win the race. 
However, the pièces de rèsistance were 8th graders Hadley Mason and Sophia Mendoza breaking school records in the 100m dash and discus. 
Way to go Vikings!
 
Don't miss the Conservation Club today after school in Mrs. Bruno's room 121. The meeting runs until 4:20. The GHS Environmental Club is coming out to lead us in some fun activities. Hope to see you there!
 
Chess club will be meeting in the library at North tomorrow after school and until 4:20.
 
Our next FCA meeting is at South this Friday at 7:45am.  Please join us for faith, fun, fellowship, and donuts.  We hope to see you there!
 
Attention 6th graders: Our final Jivin' Geneva will be held this Friday, April 26th. The event will begin right after school and goes until 5:00 p.m. There will be games, snacks, trivia, and dancing! We hope to see you there!
