From the Sports Desk:

On Friday night, the GMSS Viking track and field team wrapped up its season by taking on 8 other conference teams and mother nature in the Fox Valley Conference Championship. As the rains fell and the temperatures dropped, the Vikings soared. The girls, led by Alyssa Flott, Teagan Lee and Emelia Belino, went into the meet's final event in a first-place tie with St. Charles Wredling, but came up just short in the 4x400 meter relay, finishing a close 2nd. The boys, with strong performances from Bennett Konkey, Mason Breusch, Parsa Manafi and Noah Rosser dominated the competition, taking home the team's first conference title in 5 years. Congratulations to all Viking track and field athletes on a hard-fought, well-deserved victory and a tremendous season.
