From the Sports Desk:

The 8th grade girls took care of business last night against North. The twin tower combination of Emma Peterson and Sydney Harper scored 24 points, which was more than North had as a team. The South Vikings ended up winning 37 to 20.

The 7th grade girls’ A team was shorthanded yesterday versus North and fell just short. Libby had a great game swishing a couple of big shots. And Lyla C. had some great shots and a charge. The 7th grade girls’ B team played a great game and Holly had her first basket of the season. Bella had some great passes, and Ava came up big on the defensive end. Overall, both teams had great games.

Yesterday the 7th grade girls’ basketball team played against North and the Viking Superfans showed up in force! Complete with fake mustaches, the half-court shot competition was a success! Congrats to Max Rasmussen, Declan Hallahan, and Eli Henley for making their half-court shots. Special thanks to Miss Mack, Mrs. Mourek, and Mrs. Fedor for making the event run smoothly. It's a great day to be a Viking!
