From the Sports Desk:

Last Thursday, the Viking varsity football team traveled to Aurora Jewell to take on the Jaguars, looking to bounce back from Monday's tough loss at Wredling. The Viking running game was unstoppable. Graham Burt, Alvin Phan and Zack Bradley all scored on the ground, and Kyler Vanderploeg added two more running touchdowns. Quarterback Nick Lazano added a score in the air, connecting with Luke Ignoffo. The Viking defense was equally dominant: holding the Jaguars to one first down in the game. Ryan Michelli recovered a fumble and special teams giants Elijah O'Donnell and Jaime Menchaka recovered a botched kick-off return as the Vikings tamed the Jaguars 46-0. Next up for Viking football—JV on the road after school today versus St. Charles Thompson.
