From the Sports Desk:

Yesterday, 8th grade Vikings volleyball hosted the Rotolo Bulldogs. The Vikings were led by Harper Kobbeman's excellent sets and net play. Aylin Bauman served some rockets to the other side of the court. In the end, the Bulldog bite was too much for the Vikings. They look to bounce back against Jewel at home on Thursday. Let's get the gym rocking on Thursday...grab your friends and come and support Viking Volleyball!

The 7th grade girls traveled to Rotolo Middle School to take on the Batavia Bulldogs. The A team had a heartbreaking loss in 3 matches. The B team started off slow but came back to win the game in 3 matches. Emma Pica had outstanding serves in the second and third sets that sealed the win for the Vikings! Clara Colgan had some magnificent serves and "set" the team up for success in the front row! Way to go Vikings!

It was a slip n slide at Batavia last night, but that didn't stop the Geneva cross-country team from posting some big personal bests.  Lauren Kusak helped lead the way for the girls with some big races from Alina Nica, Isabelle Bowgren, Em Toberman and Margaret Anthony.  On the boys side, Grayson Ott, Jack Hagge, Ethan Kettlewell, and Nathan Walkington all posted stellar races.  Good luck to the entire team at the Conference meet this Saturday.  Ducks fly together.
