ANNOUNCEMENTS 10/1/2018
Not only is
today the first day of October but it’s also the first day of SOCK-tober.
Student council is looking for your help in collecting new pairs of socks in
any size to donate to the less fortunate in our community. All you have to do
is bring in new pairs of socks to the donation bin in the library before or
after school. This event will be happening all month long and did I mention
that you could win a $20 gift card? That’s right! Bring in your donations and
get entered to win!
And don’t
forget, the next Student Council meeting is tomorrow in the 6W team center
after school until 4:25. All are welcome! Please see Miss Mack or
Miss Dagres with any questions.
Can
you throw a dodgeball as fast and as accurately as a Civil War soldier?
Then Social Studies Club needs you to fight GMS North in our second annual
Civil War Dodgeball Battle. Social Studies Club's first meeting will be
held next Tuesday, October 9th in Mr. Fader's room in the 8 White team
center, where we'll learn about Civil War battles and strategize our war plan.
The Chicago Steel has
a fall reading incentive program that will earn you a complimentary ticket
to a Chicago Steel hockey game at Fox Valley Ice Arena. Read for 20
minutes 5 days a week for 6 weeks to meet the goal. See Mrs. Fedor
in the library for details.
From the Sports Desk:
Any students interested in wrestling this
season – there will be an information booth set up tomorrow outside the library
in the main entrance lobby. You’ll be

players. Basketball tryouts will be held Monday October 15th, Tuesday
