GHS 2018 Literary Magazine Receives First-Class Rating by REALM

Congratulations to the staff of the 2018 Literary Magazine, "The Skaldic: Resilience" on achieving the Nominated for First Class rating in the 2018 National Council of Teachers of English Program to Recognize Excellence in Student Literary Magazines (REALM).

This time, 358 schools entered the program, and Geneva’s Magazine has ranked in the top three magazines in the state of Illinois. This is the fourth time since 2010 the magazine has ranked as Recommended for First Class.

The program has been streamlined, so the names of the awards are different than in past years. Magazines are scored accordingly:

• Nominated for REALM First Class
• Superior
• Excellent
• Merit
