Geneva School District 304 News Article

February 25, 2021

Dear GHS Seniors and Parents/Guardians of Seniors,

Thank you! Thank you for your support, cooperation, and perseverance. The GHS administration, faculty and staff are very proud of you, the Class of 2021.

I want to assure you that we have been discussing and planning the senior events that we know are important to all of you. It is our hope and desire that we can have a version of these events that will be fun, safe, and meaningful for you.

We are on the verge of making some decisions and announcing potential options for end of the year events to celebrate the Class of 2021. Please watch for a video, followed by a letter, during the week of March 1, that will provide information about some of these events.

In the meantime, here is what we know so far:
  • The last day of school for seniors will be Thursday, June 3rd, for “B” day students and Friday, June 4th, for “A” day students. This may be a little later than you were expecting but this is due to the delay to the start of our school year last August.
  • Unfortunately, Prom 2021, originally scheduled at the Museum of Science and Industry, will not take place as planned. We are certain that the current guidelines will not change enough to allow approximately 750 students to gather indoors. However, as mentioned above, we are looking into an alternative event for our senior class.
Thank you very much for your patience and grace.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at [email protected] or at (630) 463-3805.

Stay healthy and stay positive!

Sincerely,

Mr. Rogers, Principal
