7th and 8th grade Cheer, 7th and 8th grade boys’ basketball and wrestling, which is open to all students, starts next week Monday.  Be sure to sign up on 8 to18 and make sure you have a current sports physical on file.
 
The Viking Alliance Club is getting ready to have their first meeting. Viking Alliance is a student-led club for anyone who is interested in doing fun activities in a supportive, inclusive and nonjudgmental atmosphere. Viking alliance is about valuing ALL People no matter their cultural beliefs or their sexual orientation. If you believe in everyone’s right to be themselves and you enjoy lively discussions about diversity and inclusion, then this club is for you! Watch for an email from Mrs. Rolf later this week with more information. 
If you’re looking for a really fun way to get involved and make a difference, Leo’s Club is going to meet next week after school on Wednesday in Ms. Beyer’s room 223.
 
If you missed out on signing up for the Harry Potter Intramural, I have some good news for you! The deadline to turn in your permission slip has been extended to tomorrow.   So, grab a permission slip from the office today!

Mr. Japlon would like to thank everyone who auditioned for the Variety Show this week.  The Talented Cast will surely put on a Fantastic Show!!!  Performances will be held on Friday, November 13th and Saturday, November 14th. An email will go out to the Cast today for rehearsals and other important information. 
Get ready to have some fun! Red Ribbon Week is going to be the next TWO weeks!  “A” Monday is going to be a Pajama Day, so roll out of bed and wear your comfiest school appropriate PJs to school! “B”: Tuesday is going to be a Pajama Day, so roll out of bed and wear your comfiest school appropriate PJs to school!
Also, during Red Ribbon Week, we’re going to have our annual canned food drive to help the less fortunate in our community.   For every 5 items you bring in, you’ll be entered into a raffle to win something awesome!
 
Math Club is starting up virtually this year. We will be meeting online starting next Thursday October 22 at 4:00. We will be doing fun explorations of math, games, puzzles and Kahoots this year! Join us by going to the GMSS Student Team and find the Club post to get the meeting link. Watch for fliers throughout the school to see this year's math club dates. See you Thursday online!
