This week is Banned Book Week where we celebrate your freedom to read.  Stop by the library and check out our display spotlighting attempts to censor books in libraries and schools.  While you are there take a guess in our contest featuring a Banned Book.


Calling all writers! Writers club will hold its first meeting on Monday, October 5th from 3:35 to 4:25 pm. Meet upstairs in Room 265. B students will meet on October 13th. Off-day students can email Ms. Riley for a Teams meeting link.


The Crochet Intramural will be held on Mondays for “A” students and Tuesdays for “B” students starting October 12th and 13th. This is such a great skill to learn for the fall so you can start making Christmas presents for all your friends and family! Grab yourself a permission slip from the Main office and return it by October 9th.


The Harry Potter Intramural will be meeting via Teams on Thursdays starting October 22nd.  Pick up a permission slip in the office and bring it back by October 9th. This is going to be quite a magical time!


The FCA club, Fellowship for Christian Adolescents, will begin meeting next week, Monday, October 5th .  Our first meeting will be held in the downstairs computer lab GMSNorth from 7:30-815.  Ask to be dropped off by the North Main Entrance, and Mrs. Gates & Ms. Beyer will meet you there! Please join us for fun and fellowship. ALL are welcome and we can't wait to see you! 


Calling all gamers!  Don’t miss your opportunity to sign up for Viking Gamer Club.  Permission Forms are in the Main Office or with Mr. Rhea in Room 140, and Mr. Rhea has extended the deadline to turn in permission slips to NEXT Friday.  Make sure to pick one up and get it turned in.  

 

 

Chess Club will meet virtually on a Teams meeting from home from 4:15-5:15 on October 15th! You will play chess virtually. This will allow you to meet friends from both A and B days and from GMS North.  More information will be on the TEAMS after school doc next week.
