The 7th grade A basketball team took on Wredling last night in the Semis of the conference tournament.  Though they started the first quarter slow, the Vikings rallied behind their tough team defense to outlast Wredling for the win.   The Vikings were led in scoring by Jackson Snider.  They will be playing in the championship tonight at Rotolo!

The 7th grade B basketball team emerged victorious last night with a hard-fought win over the Thompson Thunder.  Although all eleven players made great contributions to the victory, it was Noah Hallahan who went into beast mode and led the team in both scoring and rebounding.  The Vikings will look to avenge their only loss this season when they go up against the Wredling Redhawks in the conference championship tonight!  Let's go Vikings!

And in Wrestling, The Vikings put on a good show against Aurora Washington. Louie Pulio came out strong and rocked his opponent into a cradle pinning move. Colin Simon did his own version of “Simon says”, ordering his opponent to keep their back on the mat. Joey “Takedown” Torrence and Nate “The Great” Garlock kept their winning streaks alive, beating opponents at higher weight classes. George Driesbach went the distance and looked like a grizzled veteran in a close and hard fought 5-4 decision win. In Luke Sherry’s match, it’s a good thing the spectators didn’t blink as he pinned his opponent within seconds of the first round. Ashton Zimmer closed things out for varsity with a quick win of his own, making sure the team made the bus back home.
