And news in wrestling, your Viking grapplers faced off against their school yard rivals from the north side last Friday. Moving like it was the last bell of the school day, “Takedown” Torrence and Levi Tucker led things off with quick wins by pinfall. Jay Lechtenberg and Colin Huminsky followed their example with mop up work of their own, showing their opponents who the real Geneva Vikings were. Miguel Serrato and Jesiah Marungo won their bouts, taking on tough opponents with great composure. Nathan Leake and Elijah O’Donnell were gladiators in their matchups, putting on excellent contests of strength against strong rivals. Overall, it was a great showing for the Geneva South Vikings, and will look to finish off the regular season strong tomorrow for their last home meet.
