Leo’s Club is collecting clean, old blankets and towels for the local animal shelters! Due to the ongoing pandemic, shelters have more cats and dogs and not enough supplies. By donating blankets/towels, you can help prevent the animals sleeping on cold pavement. Donations can be dropped off in the designated boxes located near the office and library. If you have any questions, you can contact Ms. Beyer.

 

For our music students, today is Band/Orchestra Day!

 

Grab your friends from North and South and join the GMS bowling league! League will start Tuesday, February 1st and run through March 22nd. Cost is $50 and includes 2 games and shoes. Transportation will be provided from school to Funway, and parent/guardian pick-up from Funway. Pick up a permission slip in the main office!

 

Creative Writing Club is meeting after school on Tuesday, January 25th, at North in the conference room across from the office! If you have any questions email Ms. Riley!

 

The 7th grade girls' basketball A team played awesome in their first game of the season vs Aurora Washington. Final score 20-2. Gianna Sala dominated the drive with 12 points, while Juliet Whiston led the offense and finished her free throws. The whole team played united and made some sweet plays on both ends of the court. The 7th grade girls' B basketball team gave their fans an exciting game last night at home. Lyla Folden played hard, contributing big to the team points. Alyssa Flotte and Sam Samuelson hustled and were all over the court last night making big plays. It was an incredible team effort and almost went into over time but the Vikings came up just a bucket shy.

 

The 8th grade girls opened their season at Aurora Washington last night.  The girls had a great team effort in both games. Tegan Modejski knocked down a pair of 3 pointers to lead the Vikings from shots beyond the arc.  Great start girls.
